Catching Up: Winter Fun

I had a ball all winter plowing with my Polaris Ranger side-by-side 4-wheeler! Some highlights from the entire winter! So fun!!! 👍

More winter photo highlights!

Ice storm! This was the only time we lost power all winter! Over the summer months, the power company trimmed trees and limbs away from the power lines, so this definitely helped! In New Hampshire they do this every few years. It makes a huge difference! Something they don’t never do in other states! Preventative maintenance goes a long way to preventing power outages! They have been doing this for years, even when we previously lived in New Hampshire about an hour away from here! So nice to be back home! New Hampshire does things right! Very proactive with prevention with many things!

We have a generator and the WiFi still worked so I was able to successfully work! Since I work from home, I was thrilled! We have fiber optic and the lines were run under ground along the road and also to our house. They ran the new lines a few months before we moved here! Brand new service that wasn’t available prior to this! In fact, the Internet availability was lousy before this! I was so relieved when fiber optic became available, especially since I work from home! So far so good! I have never once lost Internet service so far! 🤞🤞🤞It has reliable! My son has regular cable Internet and they opted not to hook up to fiber optic as it is a bit more costly. But they lost Internet during this ice storm. My daughter-in-law also works from home so it was a challenge! I told her to come to our house to work but she managed with mobile hotspot. They have a generator too so at least she had power for her equipment!

Coat of ice on the deck! On everything!

My truck was encased in ice!

The driveway was solid ice! And the ice was there all winter until it finally melted a couple of weeks ago! Lots of sand was needed!

Our HVAC unit! It was difficult to remove the ice without damaging the grates!

Ice was carefully removed from the HVAC unit! We use it to heat in the winter and cool in the summer! Works great!

Another snow storm!

Tubing fun!

Love this!

More plowing! I plowed, snow blowed, and shoveled all winter! I just love it! I’m OCD with snow removal, LOL! But you have to make sure the snow banks are pushed back as far as possible with each storm so the driveway doesn’t keep getting narrower and narrower! A good clean up after each storm is necessary here in New Hampshire!

More snow!

And more plowing!

My fire pit got buried! But, later, I shoveled it out!

All shoveled out!

I could stay here for hours!

Full moon on a clear night lights everything up so well!

4-wheeler got stuck in deep snow! The snow was up to my hips!

Fire pit and snow tubing path that I maintained all winter! So fun!

This tree fell on a windy night! Most of this tree was off the road but the very top of it blocked the road!

Big snow banks! I plowed the snow into the culverts so these snow banks start well below the level of the driveway! If it was flat where the snow banks are, they would have been twice as high!
