Latest Updates

I haven’t been up to the house in New Hampshire since last weekend but our contractor made great progress this week! His latest text:

“Good evening. We had a great couple of days , and will be back on site tomorrow morning electricians installed almost all fixtures and they look amazing!!!

I’ll send some pictures and an update tomorrow, as well as schedule over next couple of weeks. Take care, and feel free to call over the weekend anytime.”

These are the light fixtures we purchased.

We ordered three of these; one for each of the two downstairs bedrooms and one for the hall area by the basement door, first floor bathroom and entrances to both bedrooms:

Examples of what it looks like but not my house:

The rooms these were being installed:

The hallway area is to the left of the stairs. The basement door is to the right, the bathroom door is to the left and the two bedroom doors are just beyond on the right and left as well.

The exterior lights were installed a few weeks ago; two on the farmers porch and two by the slider to the deck:

Exterior lights!

This light was for over the kitchen island:

This is our kitchen island:

And this light was for over the kitchen sink, as seen in the above photo!

We ordered the same fan for the great room (72”) and master bedroom (60”):

Examples of what they look like:

And this is where they were going:

Great room; you can barely see the electrical set up (dark spot in the ceiling) at the peak:

Master bedroom; where the dark spot is in the ceiling:

Two bathroom vanity lights for first and second floor bathrooms:

Here is the first floor bathroom, which already had the vanity installed. The second floor bathroom is awaiting flooring installation but is set up the same as the first floor bathroom (just different colors):

And the vanity light for the basement bath/utility room!

Wall sconce for by the stairs from first to second floor:

I’m not sure exactly where it was going but I’ll know soon!

And the light for the top of the stairs; same as the kitchen light but only a small piece of rod can be used since the ceiling is not high enough for the full length. It might have even required a flush mount:

Our contractor was there again today but not sure what was worked on yet as my cameras only show the outside of the house and he hasn’t sent any photos yet. He might have forgotten! LOL!

Today:

 Yesterday:

Hoping my son or daughter-in-law can take photos of this week’s progress! Maybe they will be able to swing by tomorrow!

The flooring guy won’t be able to start working on the floors until May 26th because the flooring is on back order! Ugggh! He was supposed to start on May 19th! That will cause some delays! As a result, I had to change the date for the kitchen appliances to be delivered! Now they will be delivered in June 3rd instead of May 26th!

But I think they can be hooked up pretty quick. The delivery people will bring them in and put them in place. The plumber will need to come to hook the gas up to the gas stove, hook up the water line to the fridge, and hook up the dishwasher. Our contractor can install the range top microwave and plug it in. There’s already an outlet inside the cabinet above. And of course it’s easy enough to plug in the stove, dishwasher and fridge.

If someone sends photos I’ll be sharing as soon as I can!

  1. Gorgeous selections! I especially love the carved-out bear fixture and forest green framed French doors! I think we have the identical light fixtures in our master bath here! Lovely choices!!! I love your new home!
