Our stand by generator was delivered today! The electrician will be working on the fuse main panel for the house by the end of the week and will now be able to incorporate the additional fuse panel and transfer switch into the project! The power company came last week and complete the wiring from the new telephone pole across the street to our telephone pole out front, then underground from there to the house, and hooked up to the meter in the meter box. On Saturday, five days after our lines were finally installed, two of our hemlock trees fell into the road and knocked down our power line going from the main telephone pole across the street to our pole plus the main power lines! Plus there was a fire caused by the electrical lines breaking. The fire department and power company quickly responded. The power was shut off by the power company and then they were able to remove the two trees and the lines, and power was restored. We have had very windy conditions the last few days!
Well, here it is! Yay!!!
This is the pad that the generator will be set on. The battery back is also here, on the right.
Battery pack for the generator.
Fuse box with transfer switch inside this box, placed where the main fuse panel will be mounted to the wall in the basement.
The wind has continued to be severe since Saturday, the past three days, and more hemlock trees have fallen on our property! Fortunately none of the others have impacted the electrical lines or the house!
These hemlocks are now blocking the trail that Hubby cleared.
This hemlock is on the other side of the house, and it got caught up in other trees. If this one lets go and finally falls, it may reach the street but won’t impact any power lines, thankfully!
