Selling Our Home in CT!
Our primary residence in CT went on the market on Thursday, 4/3/25 and within hours our realtor received 10 calls! We have eight appointments for showings today from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm and two appointments on Sunday, 4/6/25 at 12 pm and 12:45 pm! Our realtor will text me throughout the day to provide updates.
I finished working at around 4:45 pm. I work from home so I was able to jump right in to prepare the house for the weekend. My Hubby went up to NH earlier today. He took my pickup truck so he could use the trailer to bring the Polaris 4-wheeler with him. He also brought the plow for the Polaris side-by-side. Now all three of our Polaris’ are up in New Hampshire now at our son’s house. We have twin Polaris 4-wheelers plus the side-by-side. We have one more still here in CT; a Honda quad. It doesn’t have 4WD. Just rear wheel drive. It’s great for yard work.
I have been preparing for quite some time for the house in CT to go on the market as our new construction in NH is nearing completion. Tonight, I spent ten hours finalizing everything! I finished all laundry so the hampers are empty. I ran the dishwasher so I could get all of the dishes put away. We have a dish drying rack that we keep next to the sink. I threw that in the dishwasher since there was plenty of room as I was running it with not many dishes. It’s not often that I run it when it’s barely full. So it was the perfect opportunity to wash the dish rack too. Later, I decided not to put it back next to the kitchen sink. I put it away in one of the cabinets for now. Last weekend Hubby and I packed up about 80% of the kitchen supplies so we now have plenty of cabinet space to store items during showings. I was able to get other items off the kitchen counters too!
I fixed the closet doors in our spare bedroom and master bedroom. For years the one in the spare bedroom would not stay closed! The master bedroom wasn’t quite as bad but recently started getting worse. I figured out how to fix them! The stopper needed to be moved/adjusted! So simple!
Staying closed now! Yay!
I essentially did spring cleaning! It took me ten hours! I’m exhausted!
