Exterior Work on Log Home is Completed!

Image
Our new log home has undergone its very first treatment!  The treatment started with pressure washing the entire exterior with a special biodegradable, environmentally safe cleaner. Then they sanded everything, followed by caulking all joints between the logs and trim. They applied two coats of oil-based stain on the house and one coat on the deck and farmers porch. They only apply one coat there as it would be slippery when wet if they applied two coats. The house itself will need to be treated again in about five years.  It just looks beautiful! I love the color! I told him we need to wait to see how the couch and loveseat fit. He took measurements for the reclining chair so we could re-assess later. The salesman recommended cutting a piece of cardboard using the measurements so we could see how it would fit. Well, it is definitely a no-brainer that the reclining chair won’t fit! We don’t need the measurements of the chair to confirm that it won’t fit! LOL! Maybe we shoul...
