Exterior Work on Log Home is Completed!
Our new log home has undergone its very first treatment! The treatment started with pressure washing the entire exterior with a special biodegradable, environmentally safe cleaner. Then they sanded everything, followed by caulking all joints between the logs and trim. They applied two coats of oil-based stain on the house and one coat on the deck and farmers porch. They only apply one coat there as it would be slippery when wet if they applied two coats. Also, the deck and farmers porch areas require more frequent treatments; about every two years, because horizontal surfaces take the biggest hit from the sun and rain. The house itself will need to be treated again in about five years. It just looks beautiful! I love the color!
