Here are the latest updates!
The tub has been installed in the first floor bathroom!
The first floor bathroom floor is done! Hubby and I installed this together! Here’s the progress from part way through the project to completion!
Completed!
Hubby did a great job around the toilet drain! Perfection! Of course once the toilet is installed this won’t be visible.
The glass doors will be available in about two weeks! This is the style we got with the matte black. The door also features a towel bar!
The tub fixtures that will be installed, matte black:
The vanity for this bathroom will also be available in about two weeks! Here’s what we ordered!
And the toilet.
You can see the smaller of the two first floor bedrooms from the bathroom.
The shower pan has been installed in the second floor bathroom!
The shower walls of the second floor bathroom were delivered today and have already been installed! I don’t have a photo yet. Can’t wait to see it next time I go up to New Hampshire!
The walls are the same type as the first floor bathroom but a different color. Here’s an example of what we selected.
Update: March, 10, 2025! Our contractor sent photos of the second floor shower! Looks great! Love it!
And this is these are the glass doors we selected, with matte black. The doors also feature a towel bar!
Our vanity for this bathroom:
And our toilet, same as the first floor bathroom:
The entire ceiling is insulated! Tongue and groove wall boards go on next!
Master bedroom and closet!
Second floor bathroom!
We will soon be ordering our kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, sink, and sink fixtures! Once all of the tongue and groove pine wallboards are installed on the ceiling above the kitchen area and on the wall between the kitchen and the first floor bathroom, the kitchen installation can begin!
This is what we are ordering for the kitchen! Every time I look at this I love it even more! I can’t wait to see what it looks like there! This is our kitchen design plan!
This is where our kitchen design will be installed, on the right side of the main living space!
This weekend I did a complete clean up! There was saw dust, small pieces of wood waste, insulation remnants, nails, screws, etc all over the place! I swept up the bulky debris and dumped it into a contractor bag and then vacuumed the first and second floors with a new ship vac that we purchased on our way up to New Hampshire!
The toilet has been installed inside the basement half bath/utility room! We still cannot use it as the water hasn’t been turned on yet. The plumber still needs to install a sediment filter before the water is turned on. Perhaps the next time I go up I’ll be able to try out the toilet! Or, toilets! Our plumber should be installing the other two toilets on the first and second floors soon!
The basement toilet and utility sink drainage pump box, which also chops up debris like toilet paper and poop, LOL! Sends the waste up into the septic pipe and put to the septic tank!
The plumber was working on the utility sink in the basement bathroom.
This is where the utility sink will be placed!
Today the utility sink was installed into its place by the plumber and my Hubby. But I don’t have a photo yet. Next time I go up to New Hampshire, I will take a photo!
The hot water heater has been installed! Once the sediment filter is in and the water can be turned on, we will also have hot water! Because we have a well, we need to have the sediment filter in place, otherwise sediment can get into the water lines and appliances and can cause problems.
Our well tank! There is a pump inside the well itself to pump water to this tank, which also has a built in pump to feed the lines throughout the house.
Generator pad. Have to wait for most of the snow and ice to melt before we can place this pad. It has a giant auger screw that screws deep into the ground to secure the pad. Then the generator is screwed down to the pad. The ground is currently frozen deep down; at least two feet of frozen ground! There is no way to screw the giant auger screw into the ground right now! The boxes of flooring for the first and second floor bathrooms are also here!
Most of the tongue and groove pine wallboards and trim boards have been brought in from outside! They are airing out before they are hung!

Amazing progress! Everything looks really nice! Loved all of your choices! Pretty flooring too! It's really moving along now!!!
