Extra Refrigerator Update!

Image
Tonight I reversed the way the doors open on my old refrigerator in the basement! It was more complex than I had hoped but, in the end, was successful! Once I had the doors completed, I switched the refrigerator over to where the freezer was and moved the freezer to where the refrigerator was. They look so much better now! It makes the area feel a bit larger and more open!  Before photo: When I locate my TV wall mount, I will mount this little TV to the wall, above the freezer! More photos of the refrigerator and freezer updates!  The door opens towards the wall and it’s a bit easier to access it, too!!

New Purchase!

Image
I ordered this tiny kitchen table set for out tiny house! It’s perfect for accommodating everyone when my son and his family come over to eat whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner! The adults (4 of us) can sit at the table and the kids can sit at the kitchen island, which is where they love to sit! It’s supposed to be delivered sometime next week but it has already been shipped via FedEx so I wouldn’t be surprised if it arrived by the end of this week! It just barely shipped so there’s no estimated delivery date assigned yet.  I’ll likely place it by the post, seen below. Won’t know for sure until I have it. Not many options in our little home! LOL! I just can’t wait to have some seating for dinner invites!  Our new couch and love seat is due to be delivered mid week next week! I honestly can’t recall for sure but I think we went with the fabric in the first photo. The second photo is the floor model in the furniture store where we purchased the set from. I don’t believe we...

Small Brook Beside Our Farmers Porch

Image
In the Spring, between the snow melt and Spring rains, we literally had a little brook running beside our farmer’s porch! It has since dried out but the other day we had tons of rain and, suddenly, water started running through again! It has since dried out again. I wish it never dried out! LOL!  Photos of where the water goes when it is running!

Yard Cleanup!

Image
During the winter months, sand and gravel somehow ended up covering over our septic tank area and the risers over the openings in the tank. One riser was barely visible and the other one was buried!  This was what it looked like shortly after the septic system was installed. Grass seed had been planted and covered with straw.  This is what it looked like before the cleanup that I did!  The dirt and gravel on one corner of the generator had washed away. When you live on the side of a mountain, erosion is always an issue! You can expect this to occur! We definitely needed more sand and gravel added. I was concerned that erosion would eventually cause the generator and the pad it sits on to fall down the hill! Most of the sand and gravel that I moved off the septic tank was brought up to the generator! Not a great photo of the “before” but you can see that the generator pad didn’t have much support on the outer corner.  Here I am working on this project! Video from our ...
